Vote Early

You can vote early at Orangetown Town Hall in the 2025 General Election during these dates and times:​

  • Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 9AM until 5PM
  • Monday, October 27, 2025, from 9AM until 5PM
  • Tuesday, October 28, 2025, 12 Noon until 8PM
  • Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 9AM until 5PM
  • Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 12 Noon until 8PM
  • Friday, October 31, 2025, from 9AM until 5PM
  • Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 9AM until 5PM
  • Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 9AM until 5PM

Any registered voter may apply for an early mail ballot. Each person must apply for themselves.

Vote by Absentee Ballot

​To request an absentee ballot in person, your application must be received by your county board of elections no later than November 4.


To be sure your vote is counted, postmark your absentee ballot no later than November 4, or hand-deliver your absentee ballot to your county board of elections or local poll site no later than November 4 by 9 PM.

Register to Vote

In order to register to vote, you must:
  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Be 18 years of age or older on or before the date of the general, primary or other election in which you want to vote. Beginning January 1, 2020: If you are at least 16 years of age and understand that you must be 18 years of age on or before election day to vote, and that until you turn 18 years of age your registration will be marked "pending" and you will be unable to cast a ballot in any election, you may fill out the registration form and submit. You will be pre-registered as an inactive voter. On your 18th birthday, your registration will be activated.
    You must be 18 years of age on or before the day of the election in order to vote.
  • Live at your present address at least 30 days before an election.
  • Not be in prison for a felony conviction.
  • Not claim the right to vote elsewhere.
  • Register as a new voter prior to the election cut-off. New York State Law establishes a cut-off date twenty-five days prior to each election 5-210(3).
  • Register to vote before October 26, 2024.
