If re-elected to the Town Council, I am committed to addressing these key issues and continuing my service to Orangetown with integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to our community future.
- Championing Our First Responders and Town Employees: I firmly believe in supporting our first responders and town employees who work tirelessly to keep our community safe and thriving. I will advocate for the resources, training, and support they need to continue performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Promoting Smart Development of Open Spaces: Our open spaces are vital to the character and quality of life in Orangetown. I will engage with residents and stakeholders to ensure that any development in these areas is thoughtful, sustainable, and beneficial to all. By balancing growth and preservation, we can maintain the beauty and integrity of our community.
- Encouraging Clean and Green Commercial Development: Commercial zones are essential for our town’s economic vitality. I will work closely with developers to promote projects that are environmentally friendly and have minimal impact on surrounding neighborhoods. By encouraging clean, green development, we can attract businesses that respect and enhance our community’s environment.
- Streamlining Business Opening Processes: To make Orangetown more attractive to visitors and new businesses, I will advocate for a faster and more efficient process for opening new enterprises. By reducing bureaucratic red tape, we can foster a business-friendly environment that encourages economic growth and brings more amenities and jobs to our residents.
- Opposing NYC Congestion Pricing: The proposed NYC congestion pricing plan must not unfairly burden our residents. I will oppose any implementation of congestion pricing. Fairness and equity must be at the forefront of this policy.
- Utilizing Technology to Improve Efficiency and Reduce Costs: In an era where technology can greatly enhance government efficiency, I will push for the adoption of smart technologies across town departments. Where fiscally responsible, these innovations can streamline operations, reduce taxpayer burdens, and improve service delivery.
